Sleeping Dogs - Agora Bar

If you want to get nostalgic for Beijing look no further than Sleeping Dog’s music video for ‘Agora Bar’ - their lead single off their forthcoming debut LP. Chinese checkers haunts our protagonist throughout his day - occupying his idle mind across the city including the titular Agora Bar. After a slew of stellar EP releases last year, there is a lot of chatter around their full-length debut due to drop later this month followed by a nationwide tour.

NB Palm 无头电掌- Rhinoceros 犀牛

Chengdu trio NB Palm, burst onto the scene with their stylish and devilishly alluring new single ‘Rhinoceros’ - a feverish blend of indietronica, trip hop, post punk, and metal. Anchored by multi-talented Guizhou dancer and artist Uma, and utilizing the dance styles of Japanese butoh, whose roots can be traced back to the agricultural civilization of the East, the music video is a feast for the eyes.

Wu Zhuoling 吴卓玲 - We’ll Follow The Wind

Chengdu-based producer Wu Zhuoling, whose transcendent music wavers between rich, delicate melodies and multi-layered dance rhythms, gets euphoric on the animated video for her 2021 track ‘We’ll Follow The Wind’ - created by Charlene Ng. Plenty of sublime pleasures can be found within its swelling melody and almost choir-like arrangement.
